Who am I

I am a passionate data & digital expert, with a broad range of experience in digital business models and growth from strategy to execution. In 14 years, I have consulted, advised and supported more than 300 clients - and still love to do so today in my current position as Partner & Founder at Dept Agency. I combine data, customer-centricity, and technology for digital success.

Our digital world is ever-changing and fast-moving. It changes how we work, the way we live, and sometimes even who we are. While I don't think all of this is good, it does oppose major challenges for companies and individuals.

Know what's next

At the same time, it's only one letter of the alphabet which turns CHANGE into CHANCE - if you know what's next. There are clear patterns and best practices that make some companies much more successful than others.

My favourite work areas are situated along the customer journey, from data-driven marketing for user acquisition, to great customer experiences / products, and rewarding customer relationships.

All this - and more - is brought together in a data strategy, to shape truly data-driven organizations and cultures. I'm a huge fan of creating such a strategy and corresponding action plan, making sure data & analytics do actually yield a high commercial impact in business.

I am grateful for having the chance to work with many successful companies and being able to meet lots of amazing people - some clients even turned into friends.

Gaining a deep understanding the problems that customers face is how you build products that provide value and grow. It all starts with a conversation. You have to let go of your assumptions so you can listen with an open mind and understand what’s actually important to them. That way you can build something that makes their life better. Something they actually want to buy.

There is much I would want to know better, as I perceive learning as a life-long journey. However, I can look back to lots of experience in data & digital, both as consultant and entrepreneur.

Founding a well-known data & analytics consulting-agency

Together with my co-founder Marc Preusche, I built a leading data & analytics consulting-agency in Germany: LEROI Consulting. My company was a multi-million yearly revenue business with 35 consultants, working for international players and industry leaders such as Deutsche Bank, Lufthansa, ERGO Insurance Group, Google, Douglas, Zalando, and 250 more.

Be a good guy / company

There's much room to improve how we do business today, and how we treat our environment. Let's make the world a better place tomorrow: A world for which we care, both in terms of the planet as well as the people living on it.

We purchase meat for dumping prices, having Amazon come five times a week to deliver packages, throwing away everything that seems "not new enough". We act egoistic and selfish in our jobs, focus on ourselves and leave lots of people behind. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of examples.

I don't think that's the way to do it.


Follow me and other business leaders in fighting for protecting our planet. Start with kindness and show empathy for others. Take responsibility. Carefully consider what you and your company do to (re-)invest in society and sustainability. Be a good company that cares for your people, customers (incl. their privacy), society and our planet.

Private life

In private, I like photo- and videography, reading, cooking, gaming and by far the most, spending time with my son. Stepping down to a 4-day workweek to have a “daddy day” was one of my best decisions ever.
